Front End Developer Remote

PetDesk is in need of a Front End Software Developer for its Product Engineering team. The Front End Developer is responsible for developing products and features for the PetDesk suite of applications. In this position, you will work closely with your development team of engineers, product managers, designers, and quality assurance testers to meet company and team goals.

• Design and build scalable and well thought out web applications to promote happy, healthy pets
• Collaborate with your peers and technical leaders to employ best practices, patterns and find optimal solutions
• Work closely with the Product and Design teams to create beautiful, responsive, accessible interfaces, user experiences and translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
• Help bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
• Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones

About you

• 3+ years of professional development experience producing web applications
• Expertise in building accessible, responsive UIs with HTML and CSS.
• Highly-proficient with JavaScript and modern front end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, etc)
• Deep understanding of greater JavaScript ecosystem of bundlers, package management, and build processes
• Solid understanding of user experience fundamentals and have the ability to think through user flows and requirements.
• Experience building modern web applications from the ground up–intimately familiar with building, debugging, and deploying
• Communicates and coordinates well with teammates. Experience working in Agile environments like SCRUM is a plus.
• Good understanding of SEO
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving goals
