Technical Marketing Writer Remote

Job Description

T2 Tech is looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall project success of its clients. This person will work collaboratively with the business development team, engineers, project managers and usability experts to create technical documents and explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

This position will start as a contracted position, with the potential of a long-term writing project option. Services will be requested on an as needed basis. This person can work remotely with flexible hours and has the option to come into the office when/if necessary.

About You

T2 Tech is looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality content that contributes to the overall project success of its clients. This person will work collaboratively with the business development team, engineers, project managers and usability experts to create external marketing documents and explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

The ideal applicant should have a background in IT or be IT savvy in order to understand the language and terminology used as well as marketing/SEO/social media experience. This Writer should also be able to use their IT knowledge and understanding of tone, branding and marketing to write to our audience.

We will prioritize individuals that can have keen attention to detail, the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts, and subject matter expertise in their given area.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all current content on the T2 Tech web site and update accordingly to introduce new aspects of our branding.
• Work with the development team to change connect as needed to align with the new design layouts of T2 Tech new website.
• Create new documents aligning with new business lines and opportunities
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of T2 Tech’s services and additional documentation requirements.
• Analyze existing and newly updated documentation focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities across all media forms.
• Create marketing copy for campaigns, social media posts, and content aimed at our T2 Tech audience
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of T2 new style brand in development
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Develop engaging and persuasive content for various marketing channels including the company website, blog, social media, and internal and external email communications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in technical writing
• Understanding/working knowledge of information technology and cloud computing
• Understanding of professional consulting services providing project management
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Must have experience and understanding on branding, tine, and social media
• Must have marketing communications experience
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams
• Ability to use subject matter expertise to craft compelling marketing content
• Must have an understanding of SEO, hashtags, and other tools to ensure the effectiveness of content.
